What is Break/ Terminated/ Overseas Hiring Contract?


Break Contract

Break contract status means that the helper is currently in Hong Kong and he/she does not want to continue his/her two-year contract. Break contract helpers might have a bad record in the Immigration Department. They might be rejected if they have broken their contracts for multiple times.

Terminated

Terminated contract status means that the helper is being fired and cannot finish her two-year contract. Terminated contract helpers might have a bad record in the Immigration Department. They might be rejected if they have been terminated for multiple times.

Overseas Hiring

Overseas hiring status means that the helper is currently not locating in Hong Kong. If the helper is located in countries other than his/her home country, he/she must return to his/her home country before coming to Hong Kong.

  • Payment
    You are required to pay through MamaHelpers’ system to enjoy all the discounts, refund policies, dispute settlement and after-sell services.   • Prepare documents
    Fill in the employer’s information through the app.
    Send the following documents to [email protected].
    • Completed information sheet (available at the POLO office or online)
    • Originals of the signed standard employment contract
    • A copy of the helper’s contract
    • A copy of the helper’s passport
    • A copy of the helper’s visa
    • A copy of your Hong Kong ID card
    • A copy of the helper’s Hong Kong ID card
    • A copy of the helper’s Immigration appointment letter (if they were dismissed for one of the reasons that qualifies them for ‘finished contract’ status)
    Providing these documents are required to prepare the contract. Once the employment contract is ready, you can choose to come to the agency office to sign or request the agency to send you the contract by local courier, for signing and return. Helpers will be signing contract in Philippines.
  • Documents ready
    Receive all the required documents from employers and helpers.
  • Sent to consulate
    Your documents will be sent to the relevant consulate for notarisation. This process will usually take around 7 - 12 working days.
  • Sent to immigration
    Your documents will be sent to the immigration for visa processing. This process will usually take around 6-8 weeks.
  • Visa ready
    Your helper’s visa will be ready. We will be mailing back your helper’s passport and visa to your mailing address.
  • Note
    Employers who are Watch Listed from the Hong Kong Immigration will need to bear the extra cost for arranging and attending the Consulate Appointment.
